NC Cooperative Extension is seeking an Agriculture TechnicianAre you looking for a rewarding career that will let you give back to your community? Working for NC State Extension allows you to teach without being tied to a classroom and school bell. The ag technician will help determine program needs by monitoring trends and issues using input from appropriate Extension advisory committees and NC State University and NC A&T State University specialists. This position will work with row crop farmers to provide them with research based information. This position is responsible for staying up to date with the latest products and technologies offered. Perquimans County Emergency Services has openings for Part-Time AEMTs, and Paramedics.

We pride ourselves on community outreach by developing solid partnerships with area agencies. We invest in the community through our Post Overdose Response Team, expansion of our Mobile Integrated Health program, and Water Rescue Team, but we invest in our people too. Since becoming a Paramedic level system in 2018, we have upgraded equipment to reduce injury and increase provider safety. We support provider growth by offering multiple training opportunities each month and participating in various pilot programs and trials. Part-time staff submit availability for 12 and/or 24-hour shifts. We hope you will consider growing with us! Minimum Starting pay is listed below:

AEMT - ($19.95 Hourly)

AEMT II - ($20.84 Hourly)

Paramedic - ($21.78 Hourly)

Paramedic II - ($22.76 Hourly)

 Athletic Program Supervisor: Grade 64 (Salary Range - $37,990 - $57,533)

Helps plan, develop, coordinate and supervise recreational activities within the comprehensive recreation program for all ages and interest groups.  Provide assistance, supervision and training for all programs associated with the recreation department. Maintains baseball/softball fields, may do maintenance in the gym.  Maintain all recreation fields and helps with budgeting and ordering supplies related to field maintenance.  Work is performed under general supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director and is evaluated by observation, through consultations and by review of results achieved. Requirements include: Must be able to perform basic life functions of walking, talking, and hearing. Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Must have visual acuity to transcribe, prepare and analyze data, utilize a computer terminal and to perform accounting. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in sports administration or a related field and considerable experience supervising organized athletic activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. Possession of a valid N.C. Driver’s License.
